The Belt and Road Initiative, e-commerce, and smart logistics will be the three main topics of discussion at this year's Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference (ALMC) in Hong Kong.The Belt and Road Initiative, e-commerce, and smart logistics will be the three main topics of discussion at this year's Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference (ALMC) in Hong Kong.

Approximately 2,000 people from 20 countries are anticipated to attend the conference, which will be hosted at the Hong Kong Convention & Exhibition Centre from November 23–24. It will feature about 70 prominent speakers from the shipping and logistics industries.

At the opening session, Arkhom Termpittayapaisith, Thailand's Minister of Transport, will give a keynote address.

According to Stephen Liang, assistant executive director of the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (HKTDC), "there is huge demand for logistics and efficient ocean shipment services in Asia as the Belt and Road Initiative is turned from vision to action and the rapid development of logistic technology is speeding up changes in the global supply chain."

"The Asian Logistics and Maritime Conference, the largest event of its kind in Asia, aims to provide the industry the perfect platform to learn about the latest development and explore business opportunities."

Additionally, there will be an exhibition with more than 120 exhibitors displaying services connected to supply chain management, logistics, and maritime, as well as the E-Commerce Support and Tech Applications zone.

The Government of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region (HKSAR) and HKTDC jointly organise the premier event of Hong Kong Maritime Week, ALMC.
