IRM Energy on Wednesday signed a five-year agreement with Shell Energy India for the supply of 1.23 crore MMBtu of Re-gasified Liquefied Natural Gas (RLNG), equivalent to approximately 326.84 million standard cubic metres (mmscm) at 9500 K/cal Gross Calorific Value (GCV).

“This agreement is a testament to our commitment to providing sustainable and affordable energy solutions to our valued customers. With this partnership, we are confident in ensuring stable gas supplies that will support economic development and clean energy adoption,” said Manoj Kumar Sharma, CEO, IRM Energy. This agreement ensures a stable and cost-effective energy supply, strengthening IRM Energy’s commitment to providing reliable fuel solutions to industrial and commercial customers.

The company, which operates in Gujarat, Punjab, the Union Territory of Daman and Diu, and Tamil Nadu, specialises in laying, building, operating, and expanding city and local natural gas distribution networks. The company continues to expand energy accessibility through strategic partnerships, aligning with India’s clean energy transition while ensuring affordability for industries and consumers.

In an exchange filing, IRM Energy confirmed the successful execution of its long-term RLNG purchase agreement with Shell.
